A very rich green and gold walking Santa with gold trim, a birch staff and very large toybag painted with winter scenes on both sides, birds on one side and a village troika scene on the other. This Russian Santa is hand carved from aged solid linden wood, dried for at least 2 years. Once carved and sanded the Santa is hand painted and finished in extraordinary detail with numerous coats and signed by the artist
